WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of one hundred
forty (140) garbage containers for the Solid Waste Department; and,
WHEREAS, Duncan Equipment Company submitted a bid in the amount
of Thirty -Five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Nin.e and No/100 ($35,579.00)
Dollars for the 140 garbage containers for the Solid Waste Department;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Duncan Equipment Company is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED.BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Duncan Equipment Company in the amount of $35,579.00
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said 140 garbage containers
upon acceptable delivery.
