WHEREAS, informal bids were received for the furnishing of
six (6) arm chairs, twenty-five (25) stack chairs and one (1) stack
chair rack for the Beaumont Public Library; and,
WHEREAS, Finger's Office Furniture in Houston, Texas, sub-
mitted a bid in the amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Thirty -Eight
and 55/100 ($1,438.55) Dollars for the six arm chairs, twenty-five
stack chairs and one. stack chair rack.for the Beaumont Public Library;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Finger's Office Furniture is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Finger's Office Furniture in the amount of $1,438.55
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said chairs and chair rack
upon acceptable delivery.
