WHEREAS, only one bid was received for the furnishing of
25,000 feet of fire alarm cable for the Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Spindletop Electric Company submitted a bid in the
amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Four and 75/100 ($2,404.75) Dol-
lars for the 25,000 feet of fire alarm cable for the Fire Department;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Spindletop Electric Company was the only bid received and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Spindletop Electric Company in'the amount of $2,404.75
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said 25,000 feet of fire alarm
cable upon acceptable delivery -and/or installation.
