WHEREAS, on September 17, 1974, the City Council authorized a
contract with Don Streety Company for the paving of Shakespeare Drive
at a total contract price of $35,59,7.00; and,
WHEREAS, the developers of the adjoining subdivision have
placed in escrow with the City of Beaumont a total of $21,275.01 as
their share of the cost of the project; and,
"WHEREAS, the City has required larger utility lines than required
by the subdivision at, an added cost of $3,268.51; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the work and along with
the Consulting Engineer, Schaumburg & Polk, Inc., recommends its accep-
tance and final payment of $38,865.51 to Don Streety Company, and
$1,288.28 to Schaumburg $ Polk, Inc. for the City's portion of the con-
sulting engineering services on the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the Shake-
speare Drive participation project contract in all particulars and
authorizes the final payment of $38,865.51 to Don Streety Company and
the further payment of $1,288.28 to Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for the City's
portion of the consulting engineering services on the project.
