WHEREAS, informal bids were received for the furnishing of swim-
ming pool chemicals for the Parks Department; and,
WHEREAS, the following submitted bids:
Thompson -Hayward Chemical liquid chlorine $ 236.25
Stein Swimming Pool Chemicals' bromine 1,535.00
Van Waters and Rogers soda ash, HTH & alum 1,505.55
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council.is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Thompson -Hayward Chemical, Stein Swimming Pool Chemicals and
Van Waters and Rogers are the lowest and best bids and should be ac-
cepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Thompson -Hayward Chemical in the amount of $236.25,
of Stein Swimming Pool Chemicals in the amount of $1,535.00, and of
Van Waters and Rogers in the amount of $1,505.55 be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is hereby'autho-
rized to make payment for said swimming pool chemicals upon acceptable
delivery.
