WHEREAS, by resolution dated the'24 day of October, 1972, the
City Manager was authorized and did enter into 'a contract with the
Beaumont Economic Development Foundation for the purpose of advertising
the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, said contract provided that it might be renewed and
extended by the written agreement of the City of Beaumont and the Beau-
mont Economic Development Foundation; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont. desires to extend said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into an
extension and renewal of the City's contract with the Beaumont Economic
Development Foundation dated October 20, 1972, as 'extended by City Council
action, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attestto said exten-
sion and renewal agreement, and the appropriate City Official is hereby
authorized to make payment under said agreement to a maximum of $40,000,
said agreement shall be for a period of one Cl) year.
