WHEREAS, an informal bid was received for the furnishing of
two (2) IBM Selectric II typewriters for the Beaumont Public Library;
and,
WHEREAS, IBM Corporation is the only supplier for this type
of typewriter, and submitted a bid'in.the amount of One Thousand Two
Hundred Thirty -Three and No/100'($1,233.00) Dollars for the two Selec-
tric II typewriters for the Beaumont Public Library; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by IBM-Corpora'tion is the only bid received and should be ac-
cepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of IBM Corporation in the amount of $1,233.00 be accepted
by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is hereby
authorized to make payment for said IBM Selectric II typewriters upon
acceptable delivery.
