WHEREAS, bids were received on October 29, 1974, for the fur-
nishing of hot mix asphaltic concrete surfacing for Mariposa Street;
and,
WHEREAS, Gatlin Asphalt Company submitted a bid in'the amount
of Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty -One and 50/100 ($11,731.50)
Dollars for the hot mix asphaltic concrete surfacing for Mariposa
Street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Gatlin Asphalt Company is the lowest and best bid received
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Gatlin Asphalt Company in the amount of $11,731.50 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is
hereby authorized to make payment for said hot mix asphaltic concrete
surfacing upon acceptable delivery and/or installation.
