WHEREAS, on August 13, 1974, the City Council received bids
for the construction of Florida Avenue, as Project 11 -ST -08 of its
Capital Improvements Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by J.C.N. Pavers of Orange, in the sum of Six Hundred Eighty -
One Thousand One Hundred Sixty and 50/100 ($681,160.50) Dollars is
the lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of J.C.N. Pavers of Orange for the construction of
Florida Avenue CIP Project 11 -ST -08 is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with J.C.N.
Pavers,of Orange in accordance with its bid, the cost of that con-
struction to be paid from the funds of the Capital Improvements Pro-
gram; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and
to affix the Seal of the City thereto.
