RE S'0 LUT'I'ON
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that certain pre-
liminary architectural work should be done regarding the Civic Center
Complex proposed by the Citizens' Activities Program Steering Com-
mittee; and,
WHEREAS, Central City Development Corporation has an existing
contract with Gruen & Associates which can be amended to provide for
such services; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has an existing contract with
Central City Development Corporation for the development of a down-
town redevelopment plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute an
amendment to the existing contract between.the City of Beaumont and
Central City Development Corporation which will provide that Central
City Development Corporation will retain Gruen & Associates to prepare
•schematic floor plans, typical elevations and cross-sections, and per-
spective renderings of the proposed Civic Center Complex; and that the
City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized to attest to same and to
affix the Seal of the City thereto;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his desig-
nee, is authorized to pay Central City Development Corporation the sum
of Thirty -Nine Hundred and No/100 ($3,900.00) Dollars pursuant to the
amendment to said contract.
