WHEREAS, only one bid was received'July 9, 1974, for the fur-
nishing of one (1) Variable Speed Drive Unit for the 23rd St. Lift
Station for the Water Reclamation Division; and,
WHEREAS, Southern Engine& Pump Company submitted this bid in
the amount of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety -Five and No/100
($4,995.00) Dollars for the one (1) Variable Speed Drive Unit for the
23rd St. Lift Station for the Water Reclamation Division; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Southern Engine & Pump Company is the only bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Southern Engine & Pump Company in the amount of
$4,995.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate
City Official is hereby authorized to make payment for said Variable
Speed Drive Unit for the 23rd St. Lift Station for the Water Reclama-
tion Division upon acceptable delivery and/or ins.tallation.
