WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Work $ Daniels Construction
Company entered into a certain agreement to furnish all labor, super-
intendence, material and equipment to perform all work necessary for
the construction of CIP Project No. 11-B-02, which is the Central
Library Building Project; and,
WHEREAS, a supplementary agreement, Change Order Number 3,
has been proposed, under which said supplementary agreement certain.
changes will be made in the plans and specifications which involve an
increase to the contract of $101,514.00, and provides for an extension
of thirty-four C34) days for site work only, which aforementioned
amount is available within the construction budget;
WHEREAS,.$25,000 will need to be transferred from the Contin-
gency Fund in order to provide adequate funds for this change order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the above described supplemental agree-
ment to the original contract; and, that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto; and, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby
authorized to transfer to the CIP. Project No. 11-B-02 Fund the amount
of $25,000 from Account No. 79-420, the Contingency Fund.
