R E S C L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, the acquisition of right-of-way along College
Street and along Fourth Street North and South of its intersection
with College Street (C..I.P. Project No. 11 -ST -02), is essential
to the location, construction, widening and maintenance of College
Street and intersections thereon, and is considered in the best
interest of the City of Beaumont and.its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Legal Department be, and it is hereby, directed to commence
negotiation with the property owners of the hereinabove described -
land as may be necessary for the hereinabove described purpose,
to the end that the City of Beaumont shall acquire the right-of-
way necessary to accomplish said purpose, and to the further end
that property owners thereof shall receive the fair cash value for
their property.
