WHEREAS, the bid was received May 21, 19.74, ' for a one (1)
year supply, beginning June 1, 1974, of Sodium Silicofluoride
(approximately 50,000 pounds) for water fluoridation for the Water
Production Department; and,
WHEREAS, McKesson Chemical Company submitted the only bid
in the amount of Five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -Five and No/100
($5,575.00) Dollars for the Sodium Silicofluoride for water fluori'-
dation for the Water Production Department; and,
WHEREAS., the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by McKesson Chemical.Company is the only bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of McKesson Chemical Company in the amount of $5,575.00•
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate -City Offi-
cial is hereby authorized to make payment for said Sodium Silicofluo-
ride for water fluoridation for the Water Production Department upon
acceptable delivery and/or installation.
