BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager of the City of Beaumont is hereby authorized
to accept a contribution from the Downtown Rotary Club in the amount
of One Thousand and No/100 ($1,000.00) Dollars, said contribution to
be used for the purchase of land for a mini -park, and said purchase
hereby authorized by this resolution.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of
Beaumont is hereby authorized to equip and maintain the land purchased
for said mini -park in a manner comparable to other such parks within
the city limits of the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the mini -park to be purchased with
this gift shall henceforth be known as the "Downtown Rotary Club Park",
and should the City of Beaumont ever cease to use this park for park
purposes, any funds realized from an alternate use of said property,::-,
shall be used for the benefit of another park.within the City of
Beaumont.
