WHEREAS, bids were received May 14, 1974, for the furnishing
of six (6) twelve (12) volt storage batteries for City vehicles for
the period beginning June 1, 1974 and ending May 31, 1975; and,
WHEREAS, White Tire Supply submitted a bid for furnishing
said batteries; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by White Tire Supply in the amount of Nine Thousand One Hun-
dred Eighty -Four and 04/100 ($9,184.04) Dollars is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted, and that a contract with White
Tire Supply for furnishing said batteries should be executed and
that the said batteries should be purchased from White Tire Supply
under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of White Tire Supply be accepted and the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Beaumont a contract with White Tire Supply for the furnishing of bat-
teries for municipal purposes for the period beginning June 1, 19749
and ending May 31, 1975, at the prices as quoted in their bid; and
the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized to attest to said
contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.:
