WHEREAS, bids were received for the construction of a neigh-
borhood recreational facility at .Sprott Park; and,
WHEREAS, Mar -Len, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of Sixty -
One Thousand One Hundred Seventy and No/100 ($61,170.00) Dollars for
said construction; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Mar -Len, Inc. is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE_, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Mar -Len, Inc. in the amount of $61,170.00 for the
construction of a neighborhood recreational facility at Sprott Park
is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager is
hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Mar -Len, Inc. for
the construction of said recreational building and make payments to
Mar -Len, Inc. as provided in said contract;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate City Official is
hereby authorized to transfer Eight Thousand Six Hundred Seventy and
No/100 ($8,670.00) from Account No. 79-420, the Contingency Account
of the City of Beaumont into the appropriate account established for
the construction of a neighborhood recreational facility at Sprott
Park.
