R 'E''S''O''L' U'T''I''O' N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Gulf Coast Industrial Con-
tractors, Inc. executed a certain contract on November 6, 1973, for
the paving of Blossom Drive, Parish Street and Procter Street to be
completed in 160 working days at a total contract price of $151,184.55;
and,
WHEREAS, the construction of this assessment paving project
has been completed in 42 working days and the actual total cost is
$155,886.35; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of $29,990.20 will be charged to the Washing-
ton Boulevard C.I.P. Project, with the remaining $125,896.15 being
charged to the Assessment Paving Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the work and recom-
mends its acceptance and the final payment of $18,841.42 to the con-
tractor based on actual work performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the afore-
said.contract in all particulars and does further authorize the final
payment of $18,841.42 to the said contractor.
