WHEREAS, several industries south.of the city have proposed
to construct a twelve (12") inch water line to connect with city
water lines and to purchase water from the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that water
should be sold to said industries;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Mobil Oil Company,
Mobil Chemical Company, The Lower Neches Valley Authority, Penwalt,
Houston Chemical Company and Gulf States Utilities Company for fur-
nishing water service outside the city limits; and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the
City thereto.
