WHEREAS, bids were received on March 26, 19743, for the furnish-
ing of one (1) Earth Trenching Machine for the Traffic & Transportation
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Underground Equipment and Supply Company, Inc. submit-
ted a bid in the amount of Five Thousand Fifty -Seven and 75/100
($5,057.75) Dollars for the Earth Trenching Machine for the Traffic $
Transportation Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Underground Equipment and Supply Company, Inc. is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Underground Equipment and Supply Company, Inc. in the
amount of $5,057.75 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appro-
priate City Official is hereby authorized to make payment for said
Earth Trenching Machine upon acceptable delivery and/or installation.
