WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has been awarded a grant (Grant
No. AC -3-A3-1927), in the sum of Sixty Thousand and No/100 ($60,000.00)
Dollars for the purpose of the development of a Model Recruiting and
Selection Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to contract with American
Production Systems, Inc. and the United States Civil Service Commission
to perform technical services relative to the development of said Model
Recruiting and Selection Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract
with American Productions Systems, Inc. and a contract with the United
States Civil Service Commission in an amount not to exceed $60,000.00
for the development of a Model Recruiting and Selection Program for
the Police Department of the City of Beaumont. The City Clerk is here-
by authorized to attest to said contracts.
