WHEREAS, on March 12, 19743, the City Council received bids for
furnishing the necessary material, equipment, superintendence, and
labor for the construction of the East Lucas Street Project, CIP Pro-
ject No. 11 -ST -04; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion tht the bid sub-
mitted on the project by Trotti $ Thomson in the amount of Nine Hun -
dyed Eighty -Six Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Seven and 30/100
($986,937.30) Dollars, is the lowest and best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid for the construction of the East Lucas Project submitted
by Trotti & Thomson in the amount of $986,937.50 is hereby accepted
and the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract
with Trotti $ Thomson in accordance with its bid, the cost of said
construction to be paid from Capital Improvements Program Bond Funds;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and to affix
the Seal of the City thereto.
