WHEREAS, bids were received in March of 1974 for the furnish-
ing of two-way mobile radio equipment for the Street Department and
Solid Waste Department and a remote control console for the Sewer De-
partment; and,
WHEREAS, R.C.A. Mobile Communications submitted a bid in the
total amount of Eleven Thousand and Ninety -Three and No/100 ($11,093.00)
Dollars for the said two-way mobile radio equipment for the Street De-
partment and Solid Waste Department and a remote control console for
the Sewer Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by R.C.A. Mobil Communications is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of R.C.A. Mobile. Communications in the amount of $11,093.00
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said two-way mobile radio
equipment and remote control console upon acceptable delivery and/or
installation.
