WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of five (5)
20 Cu. Yd. Rear -Loader Packer Bodies and two (2) 24 Cu. Yd. Front
Loading Packer Bodies for the Fleet Maintenance Department; and,
WHEREAS, Pak -Mor Manufacturing Company submitted a bid in
the amount of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 ($16,500.00)
Dollars and Twenty -Two Thousand Five Hundred Ten and No/100 ($22,510.00)
Dollars, respectively, for the said five (5) 20 Cu. Yd. Rear Loader
Packer Bodies and two (2) 24 Cu. Yd. Front Loading Packer Bodies for
the Fleet Maintenance Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Pak -Mor Manufacturing Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Pak -Mor Manufacturing Company in the amount of
$16,500.00 and $22,510.00, respectively, be accepted by the City
of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is hereby authorized
to make payment for said five (5) 20 Cu. Yd. Rear Loader Packer Bodies
and two (2) 24 Cu. Yd. Front Loading Packer Bodies upon acceptable
delivery and/or installation.
