WHEREAS, on March 12, 1974, the City of Beaumont received
bids for the construction of the Assessment Paving Project of Myrna
Loy Drive, Charlotte Drive and Bonnie Lee Lane in South Park 3rd
Addition; and,
WHEREAS, E. R. Dupuis Concrete Company submitted a bid in
the sum of One Hundred Nine Thousand and Thirty -Four and No/100
($109,034.00) Dollars with one hundred eighty (180) working days to
complete the construction of the Assessment Paving.Project of Myrna
Loy Drive, Charlotte Drive and Bonnie Lee Lane in South Park 3rd
Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by E. R. Dupuis Concrete Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted and a contract entered into with E. R.
Dupuis Concrete Company for said construction of the Assessment
Paving Project of Myrna Loy Drive, Charlotte Drive and Bonnie Lee
Lane in South Park 3rd Addition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of E. R. Dupuis Concrete Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Beaumont a contract with E. R. Dupuis Concrete Com-
pany for the construction of the Assessment Paving Project of Myrna
Loy Drive, Charlotte Drive and Bonnie Lee Lane in South Park 3rd
Addition for the sum of $109,034.00 with 180 working days to complete
the work; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
