R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the acquisition of land along and on either side
of the abandoned Missouri Pacific Right -of -Way north of Calder
Avenue to Dowlen Road is essential to the construction, location
and maintenance o.f a new street to be known as Phelan Boulevard,
and is considered to be in the best interest of The City of Beau-
mont; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Legal Department be, and it is hereby, directed
to commence negotiations with the property owners of the herein-
above described land as may be necessary for the hereinabove de-
scribed purposes, to the end that The City of Beaumont shall
acquire the right-of-way necessary to accomplish said purposes,
and to the further end that property owners thereof shall receive
the fair cash value for their property.
