WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Gulf Coast Industrial Con-
tractors, Inc. executed.a certain contract on July 24, 1973, for
the construction of the Central Drive Assessment Paving Project from
Gladys Avenue to East Drive at a total contract price of $104,252.90;
and,
WHEREAS, after the construction on this project was completed,
the actual total cost of the project was $101,777.50; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of $91,311.75 has.previously been paid to
Gulf Coast Industrial Contractors, Inc. based on actual work per-
formed; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the work and recom-
mends its acceptance and the final payment of $10,465.75 to the con-
tractor based on actual work performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the afore-
said contract in all particulars and does further authorize the final
payment of $10,465.75 to the said contractor.
