WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and the developers of the West-
gate Addition entered into a contract for the participation -paving of
Westgate Drive at a contract price.of $36,215.42; and,
WHEREAS, the developers have placed in escrow with the City of
Beaumont a total of $18,910.53 for payment of their share of this par-
ticipation project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected -the work and along
with the Consulting Engineer, Schaumburg & Polk, recommends its accep-
tance a:ndthe final payment of $36,215.42 to Joe C. Norman Equipment
Company, and $1,730.49 to Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for the City's por-
tion of the consulting engineering services on this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion -of the afore-
said street participation construction contract in all particulars
and authorizes the final payment of $36,215.42 to Joe C. Norman Equip-
ment Company and the further payment of $1,730.49 to Schaumburg & Polk,
Inc. for the City's portion of the consulting engineering services on
this project.
