WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of one Gallion
24,000 to 26,000 pound Working Weight Maintainer for the Street De-
partment; and,
WHEREAS, Plains Machinery Company submitted a bid in the amount
of Twenty -Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty -Seven and No/100
($28,867.00) Dollars for the Gallion 24,00.0 to 26,000 pound Working
Weight Maintainer for the Street Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Plains Machinery Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Plains Machinery Company in the amount of $28,867.00
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and'the appropriate City Offi-
cial is hereby authorized to make payment for'said Gallion 24,000 to
26,000 pound Working Weight Maintainer upon acceptable delivery
and/or installation.
