WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of one Diesel
Low Center of Gravity Tractor for the Parks and Recreation Depart-
ment, one Diesel Low Center of Gravity Tractor for the Water Recla-
mation Department, one Diesel Tractor Loader Mower for the Environ-
mental Control Department, and for one Diesel Tractor Mower for the
Environmental Control Department; and,
WHEREAS, Michel Machinery Corporation submitted a bid in the
amount of $4,163.24 for the Diesel Low Center of Gravity Tractor
for the Parks and Recreation Department, $4,163.24 for the Diesel
Low Center of Gravity Tractor for the Water Reclamation Department,
$6,393.92 for the Diesel Tractor Loader Mower for the Environmental
Control Department, and $6,338.97 for the Diesel Tractor Mower for
the Environmental Control Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Michel Machinery Corporation are the lowest and best bids
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Michel Machinery .Corporation in the amounts of
$4,163.24, $4,163.24, $6,393.92, and $6,.338.97 be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official is hereby autho-
rized to make payment for said Tractors upon acceptable delivery
and/or installation.
