WHEREAS, bids were received on February 12, 1974, for the
furnishing of 2,000 feet of 1 1/2 inch Fire Hose and 3,000 feet of
2 1/2 inch Fire Hose; and,
WHEREAS, Arthur Dooley and Son, Inc. submitted a bid in the
amount of Four Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety and No/100 0$4,590.00)
Dollars for the 2,000 feet of 1 1/2 inch Fire Hose, and Claude Wright
and Associates submitted a bid in the amount of One Thousand Nine
Hundred and Eighty and No/100 ($1,980.00) Dollars for the 3,000 feet
of 2 1/2 inch Fire Hose; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Arthur Dooley and Son, Inc. and Claude Wright and Asso-
ciates are the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Arthur Dooley and Son, Inc. in the amount of $4,590.00
and of Claude Wright and Associates in the amount of $1,980.00 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said Fire Hose upon accep-
table delivery and/or installation.
