RE'S 0 LU'T''I'ON
WHEREAS, the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission
is acting as purchasing agent for a number of cities in the region
in the acquisition of needed technical equipment for their police
departments; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has availed itself of the
services of SETRPC, as purchasing agent, for said equipment in
order to obtain the maximum cost advantage possible, and said
equipment is being purchased by a grant from the Texas Criminal
Justice Council which requires fifteen per cent (150) cash match-
ing by the local unit of government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the appropriate City Officials are authorized to reimburse
the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission in the amount
of $39115.66 as fifteen per cent match on the total .purchase of
$20,771.06 when all equipment has been received and accepted by
the City.
