WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Traffic Safety has made
available funds for a pedestrian and traffic safety study for the
City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont desires
to take all reasonable steps to increase pedestrian and traffic
safety in the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont will implement the recommendations of the
Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Study funded by the Governor's Office
of Traffic Safety in the City of Beaumont if the recommendation by
said study are, in the opinion of the Traffic Department of the City
of Beaumont, effective to increase pedestrian and traffic safety in
the City of Beaumont, and can be fiscally supported by the existing
budget of the City of Beaumont.
