WHEREAS, the City Council received bids on December 18,
1973, at 10:00 A. M., for the construction of Water Transmission
Lines under CIP Projects 13-WU-05, 13-WU-06 and 13-WU-07; and,
WHEREAS, the bid of Sabine Consolidated, Inc, in the amount
of $872,793.55 with 360 calendar days to complete and $282,017.00
with 270 days to complete on Projects 13-WU-05 and 13-WU-06, respec-
tively, were the lowest and best bids for said Projects; and,
WHEREAS, Mar -Len, Inc, bid $780,695.00 with 400 calendar
days to complete on Project 13-WU-07; and,
WHEREAS, said bid was the lowest and best on that Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Sabine Consolidated, Inc. is hereby awarded the contract for
the construction of Water Transmission Lines on GIP Project 13-WU-05
in the amount of $872,793.55 with 360 calendar days to complete and
13-WU-06 in the amount of $282,017.00 with 270 calendar days to com-
plete, and Mar -Len, Inc. is hereby awarded the contract for the con-
struction of Water Transmission Lines under CIP Project 13-WU-07 in
the amount of $780,695,00 with 400 calendar days to complete; and
the appropriate City Official is hereby authorized to execute said
contracts with Sabine Consolidated, Inc, and Mar -Len, Inc, Projects
are to be paid for out of Capital Improvement Project Bond Funds.
