WHEREAS, on December: l9:' 1973, the City Council received
bids for furnishiing-.the'necessary material, equipment,-superinten-
dence,
quipment, superinten-dence, and labor for the.construction of East..,Lavaca_.Stree-t from
Spur 380 to Lakner,. CIP Project 11-_ST-06; and,
WHEREAS,: the City.Counc l'is of the opinion that the bid
submitted on the 'p,r03ect by Gulf,C,oast Industrial Contractors, .Inc.
in the amount of Three'Hundred' Sixty-Six.Thousand Nine Hundred
Ninety-Five and No/100 ($3.66,995.00,),,D'ollars is the lowest. and best
bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF'THE°CITY OF BEAUMONT.
THAT.the.bid for the construction of East Lavaca-from Spur 380 to
. Lakner,submitted by Gulf CoastJhdustrial Contractors,-Inc. in the
amount.of $366,995 is.,hereby.accepted and,the City_Manager is here-
byauthorized to,;eriter onto a contract with Gulf Coast Industrial
'Contractors, . Inc..in accordance with its bid, the,cost of said con-
struction-. to. b.e paid from Capital I.mptovements Program. Bond Funds;'
and the City, Clerk 'is .hereby authorized- 'to attest to same and to
affix.the Seal of. the City thereto:
