R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Governor, based on the recommendation of the
Criminal Justice Council Executive Committee has awarded the City
of Beaumont a grant in the amount of Sixty -Three Thousand Three
Hundred and Five and No/100 ($63,305.00) Dollars, for the Beaumont
Police Department Crime Prevention Unit; and,
WHEREAS, this grant award must be accepted by the execution
of an acceptance agreement within thirty (30) days of the date of
the award;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and is hereby authorized, to execute an
agreement accepting the grant and award from the State of Texas,
and agreeing to the standard grant conditions and special require-
ments as evidenced by the grant -award.

The Governor, based on the recommendation of the Criminal Justice Council
Executive Committee on November 9, 1973, hereby awards the City of Beaumont
the grant listed below:
Beaumont Police Department Crime Prevention Unit $63,305
This grant award must be accepted within 30 days of the date of the
award statement by executing the enclosed acceptance agreement.
Enclosed is a Statement of Grant Award for this project and forms for
requesting funds and for reporting progress information. Also enclosed
is a copy of the CJC publication, Action Grant Policies and Procedures
Guide.
According to your Statement of Grant Award; and after your acceptance
of the grant award, you may request funds on a monthly basis. Your
first request may be for two months' operation. Thereafter, you should
request funds only when not more than one month'scash is on hand.
Please do not request funds until their use is imminent.
