R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Department is preparing plans
and specifications for the improvement and reconstruction of Ele-
venth Street from South of College Street to South of Washington
Boulevard; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont should enter into an agree-
ment with the State of Texas outlining the rights and liabilities
of the parties with reference to the proposed construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT'the Mayor of the City of Beaumont is hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with the State of Texas allowing the
State to improve and reconstruct Eleventh Street from South of
College Street to South of Washington Boulevard and providing
that the City of Beaumont will adjust utilities as required and
pay the cost of curbs, gutters, storm sewers, driveways and side-
walks as they appear in the construction of Eleventh Street as
determined herein; and, providing that the City of Beaumont will
maintain the improvement and the traffic control devices thereon.
