R E S O L U T I O N
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT it is the intent of the City of Beaumont to acquire a trian-
gular parcel of land bounded on its south side by the common boun-
dary line of an abandoned railroad right-of-way and Lots 20 through
25 of Block 4 of the Laurel Heights Addition and bounded on its
northern side by Laurel Street, containing approximately 34,900
square feet in area, for the public purpose of the construction
and extension of Phelan Boulevard in the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that'the Legal -Department be, and
it is hereby, authorized to commence such preliminary work as may
be necessary to the acquisition of said tract of land, including
the retention of appraisers, and negotiations with landowners for
the acquisition of said tract of land.
