WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Mar -Len, Inc. executed
a certain contract on October 15, 1971, for the construction of
improvements at the Waste Water Treatment Plant at a total con-
tract.price, based upon unit bid, of Four Hundred Ninty-Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty and N0/100 (498,880.00) Dollars;
and,
WHEREAS, City's consulting engineer has inspected the
work and recommends its acceptance'in:final payment to the con-
tractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY .OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of.Beaumont hereby accepts the completion,of the
aforesaid contract in all particulars and further authorizes
final payment of Forty'_ -Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Ninty'47hree
and No/100 ($49,893.00) Dollars to the contractor in accordance
with said contract.
