WHEREAS, the City received bids on July 31, 1973, for

purchasing two (2) automobiles for the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, Caraway MotorCompany submitted a bid for fur-
nishing said two (2) automobiles for the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Caraway Motor'Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Caraway Motor Company in the amount of Six Thou-
sand Nine Hundred Ninty-Eight ($6,998.00) Dollars, which is
Three Thousand Four Hundred Ninty-Nine ($3,499.00) Dollars
each automobile, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED by the City; Council this the day
of 1973.
