HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 77 FFF14W"/lp 5/10/73 FA- 7 7 Fot� F R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, on the 7th day of March, 1973, The City of Beaumont recovered judgment against ERMA BUXTON O'LEARY, ET AL, in the sum of $287. 64, plus interest thereon at the rate of Six Per Cent (6%). per annum from the date thereof, together with costs of court, said judgment being in Cause Number A-92425, The City of Beaumont vs. Erma Buxton O'Leary, Et Al, in the 58th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, on the 30th day of November, 1964, The City of Beaumont recovered judgment against RAMIEL PIPKIN, ET AL, in the sum of $372. 75, plus; interest thereon at the rate of Six Per Cent :('67o) -..per annum from the date thereof, together with costs of court, said judgment being in,Cause Number Am81676, South- Park Independe-nt—Sehool District vs. Ramiel Pipkin, Et Al, in the 58th I District Court of Jefferson County, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the entire amount of the judgment adjudged in favor of The City of Beaumont, together with interest and costs, has been tendered and paid to The City of Beaumont, and the City Council is of the opinion that a release of the said judgments and all liens acquired by virtue of said judgments should be executed: NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT; That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized for and in consideration of the payment of said judgments, with interest and costs, to execute and deliver an instrument to ERMA. BUXTON O'LEARY, ET AL and RAMIEL'PIPKIN, ET AL, their heirs and Beaumont by virtue of said above mentioned judgment; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said instrument and to affix i the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto, PASSED by the City Council this the- day of V I ' A.D. ; 1973. - Mayor .. ii
