A R E 'S 0 L U T. 10 N
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1973, the City received bids
for furnishing certain asbestos cement pipe for municipal
purposes for The City of Beaumont for the period beginning
April 1, 1973 and ending March 31, 1974; and,
WHEREAS, Mabry Foundry & Supply Company submitted a
bid for furnishing such asbestos cement pipe; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Mabry Foundry & Supply Company is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted, and that a contract with
Mabry Foundry & Supply Company for furnishing asbestos cement
pipe should be executed, and'that the said asbestos cement
pipe should be purchased from Mabry Foundry & Supply Company
under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Mabry Foundry..& Supply Company be accepted
and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract with
Mabry Foundry & Supply Company for furnishing asbestos cement
pipe for municipal purposes for. the period beginning April 1,
1973 and ending March 31, 1974-, at the unit prices as quoted
in their bid; and the City Clerk be, and she -is hereby,
authorized to attest to said contract and to affix the seal
of The City of Beaumont thereto.
