A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, on March 13, 1973, the City received bids for
furnishing new truck and heavy equipment tires and tubes, steel
cord or wire reinforced tires and tubes, and passenger car tires
and tubes for municipal purposes for the City of Beaumont for the
period beginning April 1, 1973, and ending March 31, 1974; and,
WHEREAS, White Tire Supply, Inc. submitted a bid for
furnishing new truck and heavy equipment tires and tubes, steel
cord or wire reinforced tires and tubes, and passenger car tires
and tubes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by White Tire Supply, Inc. is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted, and that a contract with White Tire
Supply, Inc. for furnishing new truck and heavy equipment tires
and tubes, steel cord or wire reinforced tires and tubes, and
passenger car tires and tubes should be executed and that the
said new truck and heavy equipment tires and tubes, steel cord
or wire reinforced tires and tubes, and passenger car tires and
tubes should be purchased from White Tire Supply, Inc. under said
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY..OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of White Tire Supply, Inc. be accepted and the
Acting City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont a contract with White Tire
Supply, Inc. for furnishing new truck and heavy equipment tires
and tubes, steel cord or wire reinforced tires and tubes, and
passenger car tires and tubes for municipal purposes for the
period beginning April 1, 1973;, and ending March 31, 1974, at the
unit prices as quoted in their bid; and the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized to attest to said contract and to
affix the seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
