R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a quit claim deed
from Kansas City Southern Railway Company, a Missouri
corporation, to a portion of Block 11 of the Original
Townsite of Beaumont, Beaumont, Texas, containing
2205 square feet in area, is needed to clear title
to the City of Beaumont to said Block 11, and the
terms of said quit claim being in the best interest
to the City of Beaumont and its citizenry; NOW, THERE-
FORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That a certain quit claim deed to a portion of
Block 11 of the Original Townsite-of Beaumont, Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, containing in area 2205 square
feet more particularly described in said quit claim
deed which quit claim deed is incorporated herein as
fully and completely as though copied verbatim, is in
all respects accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the City of Beaumont hereby assumes the
responsibility of removal of the trackage within said
Block 11 and within Main Street and to repair the street
in as good a condition as before removal, with the City
of Beaumont to retain the trackage so removed.
