R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the acquisition of an easement across
certain property known as Tract No. 5 of the Corley -Madison
Project is necessary to the completion of said project; and,
WHEREAS, there are located in said Tract No. 5
a signal relay box and a railroad signal for auto traffic,
both of which will have to be relocated before completion
of the Corley -Madison Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Southern Railway Company
has tendered to the City of Beaumont an easement for
Tract No. 5 in consideration of the City's payment of the
relocation of the said signal relay box and the railroad
signal for auto traffic and the construction of the street
crossing at an estimated cost of nearly $10,000; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That the said easement for Tract No. 5 of the
Corley -Madison Project, containing in area 3101 square feet,
and more particularly described in said easement deed, which
easement deed is hereby incorporated for all purposes as fully
and completely as though copied verbatim herein, is in all
respects accepted by the City of -Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Beaumont is hereby authorized to expend an amount not
to exceed $10,000 for the relocation of the said signal relay
box and the railroad signal for auto traffic and the construction
of the street crossing to City specifications as consideration
