A R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1972, the City Council re-
ceived bids for the construction of a new Central Library
Building, as Project 11-B-02'of its Capital Improvements
Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City.Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted on the proj•ect:.:by Work and Daniels Construction
Company, in the amount of $1,105,400.00, including the base
bid and alternates -.1, 2, and 3, is the lowest and best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE,IT RESOLVED -BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid.of Work and Daniels Construction Company for the
cons.truction of a new Central Library Building is hereby
accepted, and the'City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Work and Daniels Construction Company in
accord with its bid, including its base bid', and.its bid on
alternatives'l, 2, and 3, the cost of said construction to be
paid from the funds of.the Capital Improvements.Program; and
the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and to
affix the seal of the City thereto.
