R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS,' bids were received on.November 28, 1972,
for furnishing aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt
for municipal purposes for the Ci,ty of Beaumont for the
period beginning January 1;.1973, and ending December 31,
1973; and,
WHEREAS, Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company submitted a bid
for furnishing Grade 4, Type E aggregate for seal coat and
Type A and Type B cold mix asphalt, which was the lowest
and best bid received, and the City Manager recommended that
the bid of Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company for the furnishing
of Grade 4, Type E aggregate for seal coat and Type A and
Type B cold mix asphalt be accepted and that a contract be
entered into with said Company, and that said aggregate for
seal coat and cold'mix asphalt be purchased from Uvalde
Rock Asphalt Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company be accepted and
the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont a contract with Uvalde
Rock Asphalt Company for furnishing Grade 4, Type E aggregate
for seal coat and Type A and Type B cold mix asphalt for
municipal purposes for the period of January 1, 1973, to
December 31, 1973,:at the prices'as specified in their
bid; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to
said contract and to affix the seal of the City of Beaumont
thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this NA day of December,
1972.
