R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on December 5, 1972, the City Council received
bids for furnishing the necessary material, equipment, super-
intendence and labor for the construction of a new thoroughfare
to be known as Phelan Boulevard, as Project 11 -ST -01 of its
Capital Improvements Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted on the project by J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. in the
amount of $632,498 is. the lowest and best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid for the construction of Phelan Boulevard
submitted by J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. is hereby accepted, and the
City Manager is hereby -authorized to enter into a contract
with J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. in accord with its bid, the cost of
said construction to be paid from Capital Improvements
Program Bond Funds; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to attest to same and to. affix the seal of the City thereto.
