A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1972, the City received
bids for purchasing the following vehicles:
7 - Diesel cab and chassis for
the Solid Waste
Department
3 - Bob tail trash trucks for
the Solid Waste
Department
2 - Cab and chassis for the Solid
Waste
Department
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the
Traffic and
Transportation Department
1 - Ton truck for the Traffic
and Transporta-
tion Department
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the
Building
Maintenance and Operations
Department
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the
Engineering
Department
3 - 4 cu. yd. dump trucks for
the Street Depart-
ment
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Parks and Recrea-
tion Department
1 - 12 ton stake body truck for the Parks and
Recreation Department
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Water Production
Department;
and,
WHEREAS, International Harvester Company submitted
a bid for furnishing said vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that
the bid submitted by International Harvester Company is
the lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of International Harvester Company for
the furnishing of the following vehicles at the below stated
prices be accepted by the City of Beaumont:

Department at the total price of $81,347.85
3 - Bob 'tail trash trucks for the Solid Waste
Department at the total price of $16,113.63
with trade-in
2 - Cab and chassis for the Solid Waste Depart-
ment at the total price of $7,627.82 with
trade-in
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Traffic and
Transportation Department at the total
price of $2,685.80 with trade-in
1 -.Ton truck for the Traffic and Transportation
Department at the total price of $3,944.09
with trade-in
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Building
Maintenance and Operations Department at
the total price of $2,285.80 with trade-in
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Engineering
Department at the total.price of $2,485.80
with trade-in
3 - 4 cu. yd. dump trucks for the Street Depart-
ment at the total price of $19,042.81 with
trade-in
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for :the Parks and
Recreation Department at the total price
of $2,210.80 with trade-in
1 - 12 ton stake body truck for the Parks and
Recreation Department at the total price
of $4,119.08 with trade-in
1 - 2 ton pickup truck for the Water Production
Department at the total price of $1;985.80
with trade-in.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Clerk be, and -he is hereby, authorized
to release the titles to the following vehicles to International
Harvester Company, said vehicles being traded in for the
vehicles mentioned above:
