A RE S O LUT I O N
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1972, the City received
bids for purchasing the following automobiles: 11 sedans
for the Police Department, 1 sedan for the Solid Waste
Department, 1 sedan for the Water Distribution Department,
and 1 sedan for the Environmental Control Department; and,
WHEREAS, W. L. Pate Chrysler -Plymouth Company sub-
mitted a bid for furnishing said automobiles; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid -submitted by W. L. Pate Chrysler -Plymouth Company is the
lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of W. L. Pate Chrysler -Plymouth Company
for the furnishing of 11 sedans for the Police Department
at the total price of $32,446.74 with trade-ins, 1 sedan
for the Solid Waste Department at the total price of $2,925.59
with trade-in, 1 sedan for the Water Distribution Department
at the total price of $2,576.15 with trade-in, and 1 sedan
for the Environmental Control Department at the total price
of $3,341.15 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City,,Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized
to release the titles to the following vehicles to W. L.
Pate Chrysler -Plymouth Company, said vehicles being traded
in for the automobiles mentioned above:
